How a voice count works

Open a section
Start a stocktake, pick a section such as Bar or Cellar, and choose Voice Dictation.

Tap the mic and talk
Say the item and the quantity, like “six Peroni, two Jameson, four Coke”. Tap again to stop.

StockedUp matches your words to your list
The recording is transcribed and each item is matched to the items in that section.

Check every count
You see each matched item with its count. Change any number with + and −, delete a line, or record again. Things you mentioned that aren’t on your list appear as new items you can keep or delete.

Confirm
Nothing is saved until you tap Confirm. Then move on to the next section.
Honest limits
- Voice needs a data connection. In a cellar with no signal, tap counting works offline and uploads later.
- You review every match. Voice speeds up entering counts; it doesn’t replace checking them.
- Recordings are processed online to turn your spoken counts into text. The privacy policy explains how voice data is handled.
- Android only for now. There is no iPhone app yet.

Voice counting questions
What do I say?
The item and the quantity, in whatever order is natural: “six Peroni”, “Jameson two”. You can list several items in one recording.
What if it gets something wrong?
You see every match before anything is saved. Fix a count with + and −, delete a line, or record again.
What if I mention something that isn’t on my list?
It appears under New Items. Keep it and it is added to that section for future stocktakes, or delete it.
Can I count a section in more than one go?
Yes. A second recording adds to the counts you already have instead of overwriting them.
Does voice cost extra?
No. Voice is included in both Core and Team.
Does voice work without signal?
No, voice needs a data connection. Tap counting works offline, including part-quantities such as 0.5.
